School Gardens help to extend the classroom beyond traditional settings by the classroom outside. Gardening gives kids hands-on learning opportunities while increasing their awareness of the environment we live in. In a school garden, children are learning more than how to grow plants.

The Pomelo Organic Learning Garden gives our kids a chance to learn a variety of STEAM concepts while getting some much-needed outdoor time. Our kids take pride in the tangible (and delicious) results of their work.
We’re excited to partner with Enrich LA to create our own edible garden! Enrich LA has been helping create and maintain school gardens since 2011. Pomelo students have the opportunity for ‘interactive and interdisciplinary lessons’ with one of Enrich LA’s highly trained and experienced Garden Rangers as their guide.
